Terms of service

Last updated: 29 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to every order you place on tredsocks.com (the "site"). Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to them. They don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

The site is run by TRED® ("TRED", "we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at hello@tredsocks.com. Our business details are set out in our Contact information.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.

2. Using the site

  • You must be 18 or over to place an order. Junior products are sold to parents and guardians, not directly to children.
  • The site is intended for customers in the United Kingdom and the countries we deliver to, as set out in our Shipping policy.
  • If you create an account, keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our failure to keep the site secure.
  • You must not misuse the site, for example by introducing viruses, trying to gain unauthorised access, scraping it, or using it for anything unlawful or fraudulent.

3. Our products

  • We try to show our products as accurately as possible. Colours can look slightly different on different screens, and handmade or printed details can vary slightly between batches.
  • Sizes are guides. Please check the size guide on the product page before you order. If the size isn't right, our Returns policy applies.
  • Stock is limited and shown as "sold out" or "restocking soon" when unavailable. Adding an item to your bag doesn't reserve it.
  • Specifications and features, such as "+39% grip vs V1", are based on our own product comparisons. Results vary by player, surface and footwear.

4. Safe use of grip socks

TRED grip socks are designed to be worn inside sports footwear to reduce movement between your foot and your boot or trainer. Please:

  • Wear them inside footwear. The grip pads are not designed for walking or playing in socks alone on smooth or wet floors, stairs or tiles, where they may not give reliable grip.
  • Choose the right size. Socks that are too small can restrict circulation and socks that are too big can bunch up.
  • Stop wearing them if you notice skin irritation, and check the fabric composition on the product page if you have a known allergy.
  • Supervise younger children, especially indoors.

5. Placing an order and how the contract is formed

  1. When you place an order you'll receive an email acknowledging it. This doesn't mean we've accepted your order.
  2. Our acceptance takes place when we email you to confirm dispatch. That's when the contract between you and us is formed.
  3. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, we can't deliver to your address, we suspect fraud, or there's an obvious pricing error (see section 6). If we cancel after taking payment, we'll refund you in full.
  4. We may limit the quantity of an item per customer or per order, including during sales and launches.

6. Prices and payment

  • Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay.
  • We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order.
  • We regularly check prices. If we discover an error, we'll contact you to ask whether you want to continue at the correct price or cancel. If the error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised by you, such as a £10.99 sock listed at £0.10, we're not obliged to supply at the incorrect price.
  • Payments are processed securely by our payment providers through Shopify's checkout. We never see or store your full card details.

7. Offers, discount codes and gift cards

3 for 2

Unless stated otherwise, "3 for 2" applies to all socks on the site and is applied automatically. Add any three eligible pairs to your bag and the lowest-priced pair is free. The offer repeats for every three pairs, so six pairs gets two free. It can't be exchanged for cash and may be withdrawn or changed at any time, though changes won't affect orders already placed. See our Returns policy for how returns work on offer items.

Welcome discount

The WELCOME10 code gives new customers 10% off their first order when they sign up to our emails. It can be used once per customer on their first order, excludes gift cards and custom orders, and can't be combined with other discount codes.

Discount codes generally

Only one discount code can be used per order. Codes have no cash value, can't be applied to past orders, and may have their own terms, which we'll show with the code.

Gift cards

TRED gift cards are available for £10, £20 and £30. They can be spent on tredsocks.com and can be used across more than one order until the balance runs out. They can't be exchanged for cash, returned, used to buy other gift cards or replaced if lost, unless we can verify the code. This doesn't affect your statutory rights.

8. Delivery

Delivery options, charges and timescales are set out in our Shipping & Delivery policy. If we don't deliver within the timescale we agreed, or within 30 days if no timescale was agreed, you may be entitled to cancel the order and receive a refund. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership passes to you once we've received payment in full.

9. Your right to cancel, returns and faulty goods

You have a legal right to cancel most online orders within 14 days of receiving them, and our Returns & Refunds policy gives you 30 days for unworn items. If goods are faulty or not as described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Our Returns policy explains how to use these rights, including the exceptions for custom items and gift cards.

10. Custom and team orders

  • Custom socks and club orders are made to order to your specification. The minimum order is 100 pairs per design. We'll send a quote and a design proof. Production begins only once you've approved the proof in writing and paid any deposit we've asked for.
  • You confirm that you have the right to use any logo, crest, name or artwork you send us, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. You agree to cover any losses we suffer if it does.
  • We may refuse artwork that we consider offensive or unlawful, or that appears to infringe third-party rights.
  • Because they're personalised and made to order, custom orders can't be cancelled once production has started, can't be returned for a change of mind, and the 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply. They can still be returned if they're faulty or don't match the approved proof.
  • Lead times and prices for custom orders are confirmed in your quote.

11. Intellectual property

TRED® is a registered trade mark. All content on the site, including our logo, product designs, grip pattern, photographs, videos, text and graphics, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view it for personal, non-commercial use, but you must not copy, reproduce, adapt or use it commercially without our written permission.

12. Reviews and content you send us

If you post a review, tag us on social media or send us photos or video, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content to promote TRED, with credit where practical. We'll ask before using images of identifiable children. Reviews must be honest, based on your own experience and free of offensive or unlawful content. We publish both positive and negative reviews and never pay for or write fake reviews.

13. Our liability to you

  • If we fail to comply with these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.
  • We supply products for domestic and private use only. We're not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.
  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your statutory rights, or for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
  • We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. If that happens, we'll contact you, and you may cancel affected orders for a refund.

14. Privacy

We use your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

15. Complaints and disputes

If you have a problem, email hello@tredsocks.com. We'll acknowledge your complaint as soon as we can and aim to resolve it within 14 days. If we can't settle it between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution service, or bring a claim in the courts.

16. General

  • These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence.
  • If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest will still apply.
  • If we don't enforce our rights immediately, we can still enforce them later.
  • We may transfer our rights under these terms to another business. You may only transfer yours with our written consent.
